Light lunch and networking opportunities! This is the last of our CWDC sponsored sessions. An ideal opportunity for all groups working with Children and Young People in Southend to network informally and share information over a light lunch. Although this is an informal event, for catering purposes we request a phone call or email to let us know you are coming along please! These networking sessions are funded by the Children's Workforce Development Council and are the last in a series of events held as a result of feedback from organisations in the Sector. To let us know you are coming along call 01702 356056 or email training@savs-southend.co.uk. No formal reservation or booking necessary - please just let us know.

Southend Central Library
Ground Floor Gallery
6th April – 28th April
A charming and complementary double bill by two very different local artists:
Frances Coombs
‘Sport and Play’
A painter of pleasure! Humankind in entertaining form - this show sparkles with the idiosyncratic humour of Beryl Cook, as everyday folk pursue their interests and pastimes with a nudge of naughtiness and a wink of wit. Ceramics, mosaics, textiles and prints also feature.
All works are very reasonably priced for sale.
Maurice Tobias
‘Retrospect: My Latest Paintings’
This Westcliff artist is dedicated to the challenge of capturing the true essence of the world about him. Paintings are produced for the pleasure they bring, not the monetary rewards of selling. Watercolours and Oils are used with sensitive skill in rendering the landscape familiar to us all: local land and marine subjects feature, with an emphasis upon those evocative aspects so easily missed.
