Southend Central Library A charming and complementary double bill by two very different local artists: Frances Coombs A painter of pleasure! Humankind in entertaining form - this show sparkles with the idiosyncratic humour of Beryl Cook, as everyday folk pursue their interests and pastimes with a nudge of naughtiness and a wink of wit. Ceramics, mosaics, textiles and prints also feature. Maurice Tobias This Westcliff artist is dedicated to the challenge of capturing the true essence of the world about him. Paintings are produced for the pleasure they bring, not the monetary rewards of selling. Watercolours and Oils are used with sensitive skill in rendering the landscape familiar to us all: local land and marine subjects feature, with an emphasis upon those evocative aspects so easily missed. | ||
