Saturday 10 July - pick-up time to be advised DETAILS OF EVENT They celebrate the diversity of fruit in all its forms and its wide range of uses. There are more varieties of fruit on Brogdale Farm than in any other collection in the world and this worldwide heritage of fruit is available for us to enjoy now and to ensure that they are also around for future generations. At the Festival visitors will be able to taste cherries before they buy as well as the usual visits to the orchards, etc. Non-members £12, which does not include admission. Christ Church (corner of Warwick Road/Colbert Avenue, Thorpe Bay) is having a Summer Fun Day. Fun for all the family: bouncy castle, lots of games, BBQ, refreshments, food and stalls, raffle, etc. plus a programme of entertainment including school choirs, demonstration dancing and African drumming. Entrance is free - everyone welcome.

Following the success of previous ‘drop-in’ police surgeries, further monthly sessions are planned at Leigh Library throughout 2010. These will take place in the ground floor of the branch library in Broadway West on Tuesdays, starting either at 10am or 3pm and running for 90 minutes. The Leigh Library police surgeries will be provide the opportunity for local residents to meet locally-based Neighbourhood Specialist Officer, Pc 970 Leon Pezzuolo. | ||
