The sixth Essex Auto Group Southend Cricket Festival from Wednesday 4th August to Monday 9th August offers six spectacular days of cricket and family fun. It all takes place at Garon Park, off Eastern Avenue, Southend, and presents an endless array of excitement. From Wednesday 4th August to Saturday 7th August there is a fabulous four-day LV division one county championship game between Essex and Warwickshire, followed on Sunday 8th August by a Clydesdale Bank 40-Over game against Northants Steelbacks. Following the success of previous ‘drop-in’ police surgeries, further monthly sessions are planned at Leigh Library throughout 2010. These will take place in the ground floor of the branch library in Broadway West on Tuesdays, starting either at 10am or 3pm and running for 90 minutes.
