Immigration is a tool of Domestic Abuse. It has been identified as a way that perpetrators of abuse can keep control of their victims. This session will specifically look at NRPF in relation to Domestic Abuse and how we can best support victims. It will cover legislation, support initiatives and legal responsibilities. This session is for all professionals who may come into contact with affected girls and women including teachers, midwives, social workers, support workers and mental health workers.
Alexis Wright, BAME Independent DV Advisor from SOS Domestic Abuse Projects is holding this session as part of a series of 3 called ‘The Impact of Domestic Abuse within Ethnic Minority Communities’.
All sessions are £15 per person, but if you book all three session the total is just £30 per person, meaning you attain the third session free.
