SAVS Community Forums
Southend Community Forums are for voluntary groups and organisations that provide services for people in the Southend-on-Sea area.  The forums are an opportunity for voluntary organisations to keep informed on important issues affecting their group. They will also provide a forum to promote the interests of the voluntary sector in Southend and to influence service delivery and planning and to promote networking with other groups.

How do the forums work and when will they meet?

Community Forum and 6 special interest groups, namely the Disability Network Southend, covering issues for people with a disability; BME Action, which covers issues relating to black and minority ethnic groups; the Children and Young People’s Forum, covering issues relating to children and young people; the Older People’s Forum, covering issues relating to older people; Southend Carers Network, covering issues of interest to carers; and the Volunteer Organisers Forum, which is an informal opportunity for volunteer organisers to meet and share good practice. These forums meet at least twice a year for formal meetings, but we also arrange special interest events in response to the needs of each group.  Links to these forum web pages are on the left under Navigation.
 
When do the Forums Meet?
Dates for all community forums are listed below. They are also in the SAVS website Event Calendar. More information will be provided on the relevant Forum page.

Community Forums 2010 Dates – Speakers/Topics/Times TBA
All forums are held at SAVS at 29-31 Alexandra Street, Southend on Sea, SS1 1BW and are usually held between 10.0am-12.00pm with an opportunity to talk over lunch afterwards.
