Grants to Voluntary Organisations - Southend Borough Council
In-Year grants, up to a maximum of £2,000, are available for pump-priming new groups, emergency matters arising for existing groups and additionally for special events that contribute to community well-being and promote community cohesion and social inclusion within the Borough.

The total budget for the programme is £10,000 and this will be available throughout the year. However as there are only limited funds available for distribution applicants are advised to submit their applications as soon as possible. If all funds are not exhausted in the first instance then subsequent rounds shall be held.

Assessment and Priorities
To be considered for Grant Aid, organisations must meet the following minimum
criteria:
- It should be located within Southend or able to demonstrate benefits within Southend,
- It should be voluntary or non-profit making,
Copies of the following documentation, where available, should accompany the
application:
- Annual accounts
- Public Liability Insurance
- Constitution or Written rules
- Quotations, estimates or extracts from catalogues
- Equal Opportunities Policy

Please find enclosed an Application Guidance Form; each section provides information and advice that relates directly to Parts 1, 2 and 3 of the application form. If in doubt about whether your organisation is eligible to apply please contact the Partnership Team.
Successful applicants shall also be required to complete a monitoring and evaluation form upon completion of their event or activity.
