Part Time Accounting Assistant
Salary Grade Point: 18 – 21 starting at £18,070 to £20,138 pa pro rata
Contract type: Permanent Part-time 10.5 hours per week (Tuesday to Thursday 3.5 hours per day)
HARP is a Southend-on-Sea charity working to prevent homelessness and help vulnerable and socially excluded people to transform their lives. Each day our staff work with individuals to tackle the underlying causes of homelessness, such as poor mental health or drug and alcohol dependency. From supporting people in crisis to helping them take the final steps towards independence and employment, we make a difference to over 1,000 lives every year.
HARP are currently recruiting for a Part Time Accounting Assistant to join our Finance Team.
The Finance Team maintains very close links with a number of teams, to ensure efficient and effective processes are in place to manage the Charities income and expenditure.
Reporting into the Financial Controller, the post holder will:
- Manage the Purchase Ledger
- Assist in the control of fundraising and housing income
- Participate in the improvement in HARP’s accounting systems;
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in an accounting Environment
- Experience using Quickbooks On Line
- A track record of maintaining good relationships with departments based in various locations.
- Ability to be flexible and work on own initiative
