SAVS are looking to recruit a:
Timebank Co-ordinator (Part-time)
15 hours per week (to be worked over 2 days)
(to include some evening & weekend working)
Salary: NJC Point 25 – £22,658 per annum (pro rata)
Timebanking is a flexible volunteering scheme which works by exchanging time. Timebank members help each other out and then deposit the hours they spend doing so in the ‘bank’. They credit their volunteer hours and can then spend their credits to receive support in return or donate them to someone in need.
Southend Association of Voluntary Services is looking for an individual experienced in developing and placing volunteers, working with communities to inspire and co-ordinate voluntary action.
Based in our offices in Alexandra Street, Southend, the role is to:
- Develop Timebanking within the Southend and Castle Point areas.
- Increase corporate support and individuals engaging in regular mini Timebank activity
- Identify and utilise new opportunities within the voluntary sector in Southend and Castle Point
- Promote Timebank generally to interested groups and at key locations by giving local talks and presentations
