Children & Young People's Forum

The Children and Young People's Forum is for voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations who provide services for children and young people in Southend on Sea. The Forum is an opportunity for groups and organisations to keep informed on important issues affecting their organisations. It will also provide a platform to promote the interests of the voluntary sector in Southend and to network with other groups.

This Forum links to the Children and Learning Partnership, the Partnership is responsible to Southend Together Executive for targets around children’s services. They agreed the approach to narrowing the attainment gap, noted the Annual Assurance from the LSCB, received an update on the Child Poverty Strategy, agreed the 2010/11 budget and endorsed the Children and Young People’s Plan 2010-2013. Representatives will sit on Southend Together and the Children's Parnership Executive in order to make these links. Follow the link for Useful Information
