Housing Support worker (22.5 hours per week)

Salary: £10,530 per annum
Hours: 22.5 hours per week, working as part of a team of staff covering the hours of 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday, including bank/public holidays, on a rota basis- majority of working hours at evenings and weekends.
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Housing service across Southend Borough

Job Summary:

We are looking for a empowering individual who is committed to supporting people be the best they can be. To work as part of a team delivering empowering and recovery focused activity consistent with individual support plans, ensuring the safety and security of all houses within the portfolio. Supporting our housing tenants to secure independent living skills and practices that improve their mental health as well as developing sustainable tenancy skills.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:
Level 2 in Health and Social Care and/or relevant experience

Skills and Knowledge:
At least 2 years’ experience of working with people who have experienced a mental health problem and housing related support.
An awareness and understanding of issues related to mental health and mental health problems.
