Choice Support Sanctuary by Sea Job Opportunities
Exciting opportunities are available to work within the Sanctuary by Sea Crisis Service in Southend. The Sanctuary by Sea provides an out of hours community based “haven” for people with self-defined crisis – offering direct and emotional support for people experiencing mental health difficulties, providing a warm, safe place for those who may otherwise be at risk of harm.
Working directly with those accessing the service, you will support individuals to identify their own needs, make their own choices, encouraging them to use coping strategies and promote independence, opportunity and recovery.
Choice Support are looking to recruit to a number of posts to work within this service 6.00 p.m. – 1.00 a.m., 7 days a week. Hours are flexible, with enhancements paid for working unsocial hours and bank holidays.
Sanctuary Manager: £32,000 per annum
Provide operational management to Sanctuary Workers ensuring optimum support is provided to people accessing Sanctuary by Sea, with adherence to best practice in responding to people in crisis, the recovery model and wellbeing.
Sanctuary Workers: £24,000 per annum
Work as part of the Choice Support team and in partnership with external organisations, to provide a safe, supportive and therapeutic environment for anyone experiencing a mental health crisis.
Sanctuary Peer Workers: £16,500 per annum
Support individuals to relieve emotional distress by providing empathy, supportive reassurance and time, assisted through lived experience either personally or as a carer.
