Christmas Celebrations with the Mayor

Southend in Sight celebrated Christmas last week with their team of 70 volunteers and the Mayor of Southend.

The charity organized a Christmas lunch, a festive quiz, prizes for the best Christmas jumper, and a sensory game of ‘What’s in the sock?’
Cllr Nigel Folkard, gave out long service awards to Val George, Maggie Linton, Chris Ayling, Russell Cable, and Liz Payne.

In his speech, the Mayor said; “Volunteers are an essential part of a caring and connected community. By working together and supporting local charities through volunteering, we can all achieve more and help to change lives.”
