Community exhibition raises money or much needed facilities

Published on: November 10, 2025

SAVS Community Builder, Chiquitta Bruce popped into St. Peter’s Church after hearing they were hosting an art exhibition to raise money for a much-needed accessible toilet.

Chiquitta said:

“The artwork on display was absolutely stunning. One memorable piece was painted on silk, another used fluid art techniques with gorgeous, flowing colours, and there were some incredibly detailed pen drawings too. Each piece felt really personal and full of emotion, you couldn’t help but stop and stare.”

“What really brought it to life, though, was hearing the artists talk about their journeys. From how they got started with art to what inspires them now – it was honest, moving, and completely fascinating. It reminded me how powerful creativity can be, not just for the artist but for everyone who gets to share in it.”
