Join us for a free online training session designed specifically for new Emergency Essentials referrers.
This session introduces the BBC Children in Need Emergency Essentials Programme, delivered by Family Fund Business Services, which provides vital grants to vulnerable children and young people experiencing crisis situations.
The programme helps meet a child’s most basic needs by providing essential items such as a bed to sleep in, a cooker for hot meals, and other critical household goods—all arranged with delivery, installation, and recycling of old appliances included.
During the session, you will learn about:
- How to become an Emergency Essentials Referrer
- Who is eligible for support (Programme eligibility)
- What items can be provided
- How the programme helps alleviate furniture poverty and supports children’s health, education, and wellbeing
The session will be delivered by Gemma Walker, Partnerships Manager (Children in Need)
This event is ideal for any new or prospective referrers looking to understand the programme, build confidence in making applications, and help more families access essential support.
