We are very pleased to announce that we have another project  in Southend-On-Sea, Essex which will be at St Edmunds’ Hall, SS2 4AS

We are now accepting registrations for young people aged 16-24 years old looking for work experience, training at the project.

The project offers young people opportunities to get hands-on, practical work experience, with as little as three days commitment. A minimum of 3 days on a project with us, we can accredit them with a City & Guilds Entry Level 3 qualification in Painting and Decorating and possibility Health and Safety

Project Name:  St Edmunds’ Hall

Site Address:  St Edmund’s Cl, Southend-on-Sea SS2 4AS Essex

Dates and times:  Oct 21st – Nov 1st 2024 10am – 3pm (with an hours lunch break)

Week 1: Tue 22nd, Wed 23rd, Thur 24th and Fri 25th Oct

Week 2: Mon 28th, Tue 29th, Wed 30th and Thur 31st Oct

The Qualifications offered on this project are:  Entry level 3 City and Guilds in Painting and Decorating and Health & Safety

Eligibility: 16+, and be a Southend-on-Sea  Resident

We have approx 10 places available for young people each day and are prioritising economicall inactive learners. If young people complete 3 days on a project with us, we can accredit them with a City & Guilds Entry Level 3 qualification. Typically in carpentry, painting & decorating, health & safety & brick work.

  • Bite-sized work experience opportunities to learn construction trade skills and boost their employability
  • Mentoring on site by professional tradespeople
  • Opportunity to gain Entry Level 3 City & Guilds trade skills accreditations
  • Participation in employability workshops
  • Support and guidance to young people interested in exploring further opportunities in the trade and construction sector
  • Support in gaining CSCS cards is also available
  • Flexibility in scheduling

We are really keen to set up meeting with local organisations to see how we can make this an even more exciting project.  It would be great to be able to talk to local organisations to see who else we should reach out too with project details.
