Kayleigh attended One Love’s Wellbeing Wednesdays.
We are thrilled to share the heartwarming progress of One Love‘s Wellbeing Wednesdays, an initiative that has recently taken root and is blossoming with positivity and purpose. During a recent visit, we were captivated by the incredible efforts of the team and service users in creating a sustainable and compassionate community.
One Love is embracing the spirit of giving back by cultivating their own fruits and vegetables on-site. These fresh and locally-sourced produce will be lovingly transformed into nutritious meals for their kindness kitchens, providing nourishment to those in need. Witnessing the fruits of their labour directly impact the community makes this project truly special.
In addition to the thriving gardens, One Love is also embarking on an exciting project: building their very own pond with a bug hotel. This thoughtful effort not only supports biodiversity but also provides a sanctuary for insects and small creatures. The collaborative approach, where service users are actively involved in the process, fosters a sense of stewardship for the environment.
The involvement of service users has been nothing short of inspiring. Their enthusiasm is palpable as they visit every other week to lend a helping hand in maintaining the gardens and witnessing the progress firsthand. Working together, they are even brainstorming a fitting name for the bug hotel and designing labels for the fruits and veggies, making the whole experience even more personal and meaningful.
Due to the overwhelming benefits reported by the service users, One Love has decided to take things to the next level. Starting next month, they will run these heartwarming sessions weekly instead of fortnightly. This decision is a testament to the immense positive impact it brings to the community.
Join us in celebrating the spirit of kindness and growth at One Love’s Wellbeing Wednesdays. The dedication of the team and service users reminds us that when we come together, we can create a world of compassion, sustainability, and wellbeing.
