Housing Support Worker
Hours will include evening (up to midnight) and weekend working.
Salary: Starting at Point 14, £18,065 rising incrementally to Point 17, £19,171 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent Full time and Part time posts available. Full time, 37 hours per week and part time hours to be agreed. Ref No: HSW2
We are looking to recruit several Housing Support Workers for our hostel and supported accommodation services in Southend, to provide floating support to our residents. Reporting to one of our Floating Support Co-ordinators, you will be part of the team assisting service users in a support hostel services and step-down hostels leading to move-on to independent living. You will need to be flexible and work with the Co-ordinator to ensure that a focused service is provided to service users and that the service is operated in line with HARP values, procedures and legal requirements and that it meets the funder’s and service user’s needs.
To be considered for this role, you will need the demonstrable ability to work within a highly effective, person centred accommodation service for service users some with complex needs
Organised, adaptable, and an excellent communicator, you will be enthusiastic about working in a psychologically informed environment, and creative in your approach to service delivery. You are resilient in, and motivated by, a constantly changing and busy environment. A good understanding of the regulatory and financial environment within which accommodation based support services operate is essential. Car owner/drivers preferred.
