NetPark Wellbeing Wins a National Mental Health Award

Southend City Council’s and Metal Arts Charities NetPark Wellbeing project have been awarded a Mental Health Award 2023, securing the title of “Most Innovative Mental Health Intervention.” This recognition was announced on November 2, 2023, after competing against several other nominees. The award was for the innovative groups that NPWB is running with help from the Community Investment Board which gave NPWB grants to fund a Men’s Trauma Group and Hearing Impaired and Deaf Group this year.

NetPark Wellbeing focuses on supporting individuals with various mental health challenges, including dementia, depression, stress, anxiety, early psychosis, learning disabilities, and social isolation. Over the past year, the project has positively impacted over 290 individuals living with mental health conditions. It operates two dementia groups weekly and five groups for participants with different mental health needs.

This award underscores NetPark Wellbeing’s dedication to improving the mental well-being of the Southend community, recognizing its innovative approach to mental health support.
