Term Time (39 weeks per year, 37.5 hours per week)
Or Part Time (28 hours per week) for the right candidate

Southend based Safe Steps is looking for an experienced practitioner to work as part of our Fledgling’s Children, Young People and Families’ team during the school term. This team member will lead on group delivery for Fledglings, delivering multiple groups to parents and children and young people recovering from domestic abuse, as well as providing some 1-1 support sessions.

Working with Children and Families facing multiple forms of disadvantage, the ideal candidate will need to be highly motivated and committed to making a difference to the lives of children affected by domestic abuse, and to ensure positive outcomes for them and their families through therapeutic programmes and ongoing support and advocacy.

Relevant experience of working with children and parents is essential, as well as knowledge of and working with, other local agencies and services. Monitoring and evaluation of service delivery is key in line with the funding requirements for the post.

Salary: NICVA 2018 Scale 5 – £21,074 (pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week term time only (39 weeks) or part time 28 hours per week
Annual leave: Commencing at 25 days per annum pro rata
(For the term time role only – holidays must be taken during school holidays)
