SAVS Launch New Online Training Sessions for Southend’s Voluntary Sector

Published on: January 23, 2024

‘Lunchinars’ is a new webinar concept offered by SAVS designed to deliver informative and innovative information to you over lunch time.

SAVS are thrilled to announce the launch of a free ‘lunchinars’ training programme, offering bite-sized learning sessions online covering a range of topics relevant to people working within the Voluntary Sector.

Roger Savage, Deputy CEO at SAVS said, “Designed and delivered by SAVS, the ‘lunchinars’ will cover a range of information, working with fantastic partners to create different series of sessions scheduled regularly throughout the year. We hope the sessions will be accessible and useful, and we are excited to help the voluntary sector of Southend.”

For the first series of ‘lunchinars’ SAVS, in partnership with Ionic Digital, are running a series of six online workshops to help upskill local non-profit and charitable organisations on how they can enhance their digital presence in the modern world. Sessions include; digital marketing 101, websites – getting your organisations online, using social media, search engine optimisation (SEO) and Google Ads, email marketing and exploring the top 20 tools and platforms for charities.

The digital series will cover making use of free, easy-to-use tools, as well as other more ‘industry standard’ tools and online services, to help organisations achieve their goals.

Dan Bacon, Head of Digital at Ionic Digital said, “I am really looking forward to working alongside SAVS to deliver these digital skills workshops, helping small organisations that desperately need help but don’t always have the skills. I’ve been working in the world of digital marketing for over 15 years, and bring with me a wealth of experience in getting results without a heavy price tag.

We’ve chosen a range of hot topics that should give any aspiring non-profit marketer the edge on how they can do some things themselves and how and where to get help when they need it.

Each session is available live and via playback, and we’ve created a number of cheat sheets and helpful guides that you can download and use again and again.”
