15 hours per week worked over 2 days (Tuesdays & Thursdays) (to include some evening & weekend working)
Salary: NJC Point 15 – 17 (£22,911 – £23,836 per annum) (pro rata)
Southend Association of Voluntary Services is looking for an enthusiastic, supportive and caring person to join the Turning Tides Team. Folk Like Us is a Big Lottery funded project that supports people aged over 65 years to reduce social isolation.
Based in our offices in Alexandra Street, Southend, the role is to:
• Run information hub and support elderly people to access services
• Plan and organise information session at the hub and community events
• To work with isolated elderly people to help them identify their own outcomes and monitor their success
• To guide and signpost elderly people and encourage new members
The successful candidate will have experience of working with older people and an understanding of their needs.
Full clean driving licence essential.
