Turning Tides youth clubs are located on the Balmoral and Woodgrange estates, which are considered to be amongst the most disadvantaged areas of Southend-on-Sea. Sessions are specifically designed to help build young people’s confidence, provide opportunities for community action and improve wellbeing.
Role Description
- To assist the Team Leader with planning and organising weekly youth club activities that help build confidence, improve quality of life and give young people a voice
- To support the Team Leader in the delivery of the weekly youth club sessions, and actively get involved with the sessions
- To attend and assist with the delivery of the annual Hucklow 5-day residential trip (August)
- To support the Team Leader in carrying out risk assessments before any visits/activities
The successful candidate will be a role model for the children and young people, and have a flexible attitude to working hours.
Role Details
- 15 hours per week across two/three days– exact hours to be agreed with successful applicant (hrs include 2/3 evenings p/w until approx 7:30pm & occasional weekends)
- Salary: £24,750 per annum (pro rata). Currently funded until 31 March 2027
- Additional benefits: parking pass. Upon completion of probation, Birthday leave & Wellbeing day
