Sight loss charity celebrates City Day with fun golf trip

Published on: March 7, 2025

Southend in Sight took a group of 12 adults to Caddies, the Southend indoor mini-golf venue, to celebrate City Day.

Thanks to the Rosca Trust and their grant to help local blind and partially sighted people, the charity were able to treat a group of adults to a fun game of mini-golf. After all the hard work on the golf course, the group then enjoyed a meal at Ask Italian, enabling everyone to come
together and chat about their experience.

Fundraising Manager, Catherine Hodgson, said:

“It was brilliant to see sighted and non-sighted players in a fun social situation. It showed Southend off at its best, helping local visually impaired people to be more independent within our city”.
