Local organisation Southend Care Bank is celebrating after winning a huge funding boost! The small grassroots charity helps to alleviate the impact of  hygiene poverty on local families by offering free toiletry and hygiene products, has won £1000 in the Tesco Community Pledge

They won simply because one of their supporters used the easyfundraising platform to shop and raise money for them with Tesco. As well as collecting a free donation towards the bank’s mission to provide toiletries and other essentials to those who need them, every qualifying shop got them in the draw to receive £1,000 of extra free funding. Treasurer Charlotte said, “This is going to make a tangible difference to the families we support over the coming summer months. The Tesco Community Pledge is such a generous way for Tesco and easyfundraising to further support community groups and we feel very grateful!”
