Hadleigh Training Centre provides training opportunities to adults with additional support needs in order to meet a range of outcomes. The Build and Grow department covers Horticulture, Carpentry and Cycle Maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Project Worker will be responsible for line management of staff and guide/work with them to identify, deliver and/or enhance training opportunities that maximise progression outcomes and/ develop life skills for trainees who attend HTC through a personalised approach. You will guide and direct staff team awareness, of each trainees abilities, support needs and agreed strategies, they will also ensure that this is used in conjunction with each trainee’s outcome plan and that staff work with the trainee to enable those outcomes to be met. This will include the completion of initial assessments and learning support plans, this will also include the need to plan training sessions around the content of learning plans.

The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:

Proven organisational & strong communication skills and experience of working under pressure
Experience of working within a training environment and developing learning support plans and/or training programmes
Working with people with additional support needs as well as guiding and directing staff
Good ICT skills
Ability to work in sympathy with the aims of The Salvation Army by showing respect, empathy and treating people with dignity
