One of the UK’s most inspiring and best known faith-based organisations, is looking for a passionate and meticulous Senior Project Worker in our Build and Grow Department at Hadleigh Training Centre Essex.

Hadleigh Training Centre has been providing training opportunities since 1990 for adults with additional support needs. There are currently approximately 160 trainees who attend the training centre, following personalised pathways to meet a range of outcomes. All training is designed to maximise progression opportunities, whether this be in particular vocational skills, or transferable life skills such as motivation, self-esteem and confidence. The Build and Grow department specialises in offering vocational training in areas such as gardening, wood work and cycle maintenance.

As Senior Project Worker you will be responsible for the line management of a team of employees in order to lead, direct and guide them to identify, deliver and/or enhance training opportunities.

Training activities include planting and growing flower and vegetable seeds, general garden maintenance, building carpentry products including benches and bird boxes, fencing and creation of raised beds, as well as the displaying and selling of all produce.

To succeed in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
• Experience of working within a training environment and developing learning support plans and/or training programmes
• Proven experience of working with people with additional support needs
• Strong communications skills
• Experience of guiding and directing staff
