Youth Focused Event Showcases Local Groups and Causes

SAVS Community Builder, Chiquitta Bruce:

“I had the pleasure of heading along to a recent youth focused event, and it was such a great vibe! So many amazing organisations came out to showcase what they do and share how they’re supporting our young people. In addition to showcasing local support and services, the Mayor dropped by to meet with local people and stallholders, there was face painting for the little ones, and a young local band kept the energy up.

The whole area was buzzing, people chatting, networking, stopping to listen and ask questions. You could really feel the sense of community and connection.

A big shout-out to Southend YMCA and their team for pulling it all together and fully committing to those Halloween costumes! If you’re keen to get involved with youth events in the future, definitely reach out to the YMCA, they’d love to have you on board.”
