Cake Club
Offers parenting support and solidarity in the Southend area. we run in- person support and playgroups in a number of locations with something on offer nearly every day. As well has running a very active Facebook Page, "Cake Community Club," parenting slings and supports.
You can meet other parents, socialise, access trained infant feeding and babywearing support and so much more in a judgement free friendly space find your village this one is ours. you will always be welcome.
Groups & Services
We run weekly support and playgroups in and around the Southend area. Most sessions combine the sling library and infant feeding support with a social and supportive playgroup; a community of like-minded parents coming together for tea, cake and chat. Peer support is at the heart of what we do - we know how important it is for you to be with other parents, to share your concerns and experience, and celebrate your wins together.

The Haven Community Hub in Westcliff
Mondays 1-3pm with Clair (midwife clinic, sling library & specialist infant feeding support)
Fridays 10-11.45 with Lizzie (sling library & infant feeding support)
Hawkwell Baptist Church in Rochford
Tuesdays 10-12 with Ali (general parenting support, peer level infant feeding support)
The sling library is available once a month, usually the first Tuesday of the month - check social media for details
Bellevue Baptist Church in Southchurch
Wednesdays 10-12 with Clair (midwife clinic, sling library & specialist infant feeding support)
Eastwood Baptist Church
Thursdays 10-12 with Steph, Jen & Kirsty (antenatal and postnatal support, sling library, infant feeding support)
Hub 151 West Road Shoeburyness
Thursdays 10-12 with Libby (specialist infant feeding support, sling library, antenatal and postnatal wellbeing)
Monthly Saturday sessions also take place in Westcliff and Leigh-on-Sea - check social media for confirmed dates.
SLINGS-ON-SEA:
The Slings-on-Sea sling library and consultancy works alongside Cake Club to offer in-person support to families in Southend, Rochford and Castle Point, and online support to everyone, wherever you may be. Sling support can be accessed at our Cake Club sessions as well as privately - consultations are held in Westcliff or can be arranged as a home visit. Individual tailored support and advice is available for all parents and carers who want to carry their children; we have a range of slings and carriers available for hire, suitable from newborn to toddler.
