SAVS Launches New Innovative App Benefiting the Voluntary Sector

Published on: March 21, 2024

Putting the latest community news, insights and events at your fingertips!

We are thrilled to announce our latest digital project – a brand new FREE app for the voluntary sector. This app will allow us to share the latest community news, insights, events, jobs, funding opportunities, training and workshop information, relevant to the sector. This content is both produced or sourced by us and sent to us directly from our followers.

Roger Savage, SAVS Deputy CEO said,

“We all spend so much time on our phones and tablets and we have come to expect a breadth of information to be readily available to us when we want it. Essentially, SAVS will use this app to deliver great community content in easily digestible bites straight to the palm of your hand.”

“User-friendly apps reduce the need to open up a browser, type a URL and trawl information to find what you need. And, with personalized push notifications, we can get relevant news in front of you when it counts.”

SAVS already share a range of content on our website, social platforms and regular newsletters with a large combined digital reach to showcase Southend’s voluntary sector. By introducing an app we hope to reach more followers, delivering great content which is regularly updated throughout the week.

Roger continues,

“Not only does an app benefit the reader who will enjoy the latest stories and alerts, it also helps the amazing local organisations in the voluntary sector who need assistance pushing out their information and being seen.”
