The Leigh-on-Sea Endeavour Trust is responsible for restoring and preserving the cockle boat Endeavour for the community.
The Endeavour was built in Leigh on Sea as a cockle boat in 1926 and spent most of her working life in Leigh.
In 1940, she was one of the “Little Ships” that rescued troops from the beaches of Dunkirk. Endeavour is now fully restored, attends many Association of Little Ships events, and is available for the local community.
Trust members often provide talks to schools and local organisations on Endeavour, her history, and what has happened since her renovation.
