Southend Association of Voluntary Services – The Small Print

Hello, we are Southend Association of Voluntary Services (SAVS). We are an independent charity known as a council for voluntary service or CVS. That means we provide a range of services to the people of Southend-on-Sea to support and develop the Voluntary, Community, Faith & Social Enterprise or Third sector.

This is the small print for using SAVS’ website or its terms and conditions. It tells you:

• The rules for using the SAVS website
• What SAVS can do with things you add to the SAVS website.

You may also want to look at our privacy statement that explains more about your rights and who to contact if there’s a problem.

Both documents are regularly reviewed and updated. If the terms change and you have agreed to them, you will be informed of any change and given the opportunity to renew your agreement. There is an option for you to agree to these terms at the end of the document and we require that you do so before you add anything to our website. If you don’t stick our terms then we can suspend or terminate your use of our services.

Sadly, Young people who are under 13 cannot sign up for our services as the UK GDPR states that the legal age for digital consent is 13.

The Rules for using the SAVS website

Please don’t try to mess with our website. This includes hacking; trying to get around any security we use or anything malicious intending to damage our website or the people who use it.

Please don’t harm or offend other people on our website. If you are offended or there is a problem, please bring it to us and see if we can resolve it.

Please be careful with how you use our website. We will endeavour to make it as safe as possible but we rely on you to follow good internet safety practices. The National Cyber Security Centre (https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/) has advice on how to do this, but so do most phone or broadband providers.

Please don’t pretend to be SAVS, a representative of SAVS or anyone else.

Please don’t copy anything you see on our website without checking it’s OK with us first.

What SAVS can do with things you add to the SAVS website.

We will use the data you provide through the website to record your relationship with us and to provide a service. This may include:

• passing your contact information on to another organisation, who we have identified as providing a service that you are interested in
• providing you information about a service that you might be interested in
• sending you marketing information (you can opt out of this if you want to at any time)
