Why volunteer with us?
Volunteering with SAVS is a great way to make a meaningful difference in Southend while gaining valuable experiences along the way. We support 480+ member charities, and as a volunteer, you’ll be introduced to the vibrant and diverse VCFSE sector, discovering the incredible work local groups and organisations do to support communities across the city. You’ll play an active role in helping individuals and groups thrive, contributing to a stronger, more connected Southend for everyone.
And if that wasn’t enough to convince you, we also host an annual celebration event for all of our volunteers to share achievements, build friendships and say thank you to the people who our organisation couldn’t run without.

This role is perfect for someone friendly, patient, a good listener, reliable, and who enjoys spending time with older people. In return, you’ll make a real difference, meet new people, and be part of a supportive team.

Ideally suited to someone friendly, positive and reliable, with good communication and computer skills and strong attention to detail, this role is an excellent way to brush up on your admin skills, learn about the local community and make new friends.
