Introducing the SSP Community Forum

Published on: April 10, 2024

The Southend Safeguarding Partnership (SSP) aims to ensure the safety and protection of children and adults with care and support needs in Southend. It achieves this by working with agencies who provide services to children and adults with care & support needs, to raise awareness about abuse, develop a culture that does not tolerate abuse, and prevent abuse from happening wherever possible.

The SSP have a Community Forum which aims to connect with organisations/services that do not regularly engage with the Partnership and our work. The Forum looks to share safeguarding information with organisations and provides a place to network with the Partnership and other services across Southend. The forum meets twice a year with a further 2 newsletters being sent out in between the meetings. Please find the latest newsletter, which was circulated to members in February, via this link.

If you would like to join the SSP Community Forum, please email SSPC@southend.gov.uk who will ensure you are added to the distribution list and invited to future Community Forum meetings.
