Good News Stories from our Community Builders (March 2024)

This month, SAVS hosted the first monthly Community Meeting at the Shoebury Youth Centre!

Community Builder, Eda Deramchia, who organised the meeting said:

“We had excellent involvement & engagement for our first meeting that included representatives from some of our amazing projects, charities, organisations, our new Essex Police Community Support Officer, and residents that live & work in Shoeburyness and Southend. It was a diverse & inclusive meeting hosted in the warm & pleasant atmosphere of Shoeburyness Library. I found it an immensely beneficial meeting that supported information & knowledge sharing between our community and partners.”

The meeting will be held on a monthly basis as an opportunity to bring the community together and give everyone a chance to network and benefit from sharing information, advice, and ideas to empower people and organisations to maximise their potential and the positive impact this can have on our community.

Eda continues:

“Meetings will be held on the first Monday of every month and everyone is most welcome to join us, so please feel free to come along and have a chat, or promote and advertise what you do both within, and for the community of Shoebury or Southend!”
