Here at SAVS we have created a series of Amazon Wishlist’s on behalf of local charities as an efficient way for them to get much needed items shipped to them directly.

Marisa Fiore, Communications Assistant at SAVS said,

We are hoping that donating physical items from Wishlist’s created by charities themselves, instead of general fundraising campaigns, might reassure those who have reservations about donating money online or like to know exactly what their money is being used for. Its a great way to know you are giving something tangible to causes important to you from the comfort of your home

The Wishlist’s allow you to shop for products as little as £1 on Amazon which will then be shipped directly to those most in need, from items such as toothpaste, deodorant and sanitary products to support those living in hygiene poverty to long lasting food essentials to help keep local food banks stocked.

Southend Foodbank

Southend Foodbank provide emergency food and practical support to people in their hardest moments. Food donations to Southend Foodbank are vital to their ability to give everyone referred to them a balanced and nutritious three-day supply of food.

The One Love Project

The One Love Project evolved from a night-time soup kitchen for the homeless based in a Southend car park, after moving to their current site in 2017, the founders and volunteering team began expanding their services to supply food and more to a wider group of people in need. Your donations to One Love will help them in improving quality of life by meeting individual basic needs such as food and clothing.

Little Heroes ASD Support Group

Little Heroes ASD Support Group is a parent led support group for Southend based families of children who are on the autistic spectrum, providing them with support, assistance and friendship. Your donations to Little Heroes will help them to provide children with a wide range of weekly support sessions and school holiday events.

Southend YMCA

Southend YMCA work with children, young people, families and the wider community to provide education, accommodation and positive activities and projects. The Charity delivers safe and effective services which address the needs and aspirations of children and young people to help transform their lives and ensure that as adults they are in employment, have a decent home, a living wage, good health, emotional wellbeing and can sustain family and community life. Your donations to Southend YMCA will help them to provide a young person with a safe space to stay.

Safe Steps

Safe Steps is a specialist provider offering a range of community services to support women, men, young people and children to rebuild their lives after domestic abuse; working with victims towards a brighter future, free from abuse. Your donations to Safe Steps will make a huge difference to those affected by domestic abuse.

Trust Links

Trust Links is an independent Charity for mental health, wellbeing and the environment. They offer therapeutic gardening, recovery classes, social activities, employment support, training, environmental workshops and more. Your donations to Trust Links will ensure that they can continue supporting 4,000 people across South Essex to manage their mental health and look after their wellbeing.

Sanctuary Supported Living

Sanctuary Supported Living is a non profit organisation, delivering a wide range of supported housing and retirement communities, alongside tailored care and support services. Working in close partnership with the people they support, their families, carers and health professionals, they deliver a high quality service that supports people on their unique pathway to independence. Your donations to Sanctuary Supported Living will help them to provide the right accommodation, care and support to those in need as well as giving them the confidence, self-esteem, and life skills they need to live as independently as possible.

Turning Tides Youth Club

Turning Tides Youth Club support children ages 8-12 living in Southend, providing them with both weekly and school holiday sessions to help inspire them, raise their aspirations and give them the opportunity to try out new activities to broaden their outlook and achieve their full potential. Your donations to Turning Tides will ensure the club can continue to offer free sessions, activities and opportunities to local children who otherwise may not have the chance.

Carers First

Carers First was established by carers who wanted to help others in a similar situation. Today, Carers First works with over 39,000 unpaid carers, providing practical information and support; making it easier for them to continue living their lives to the fullest.  Your donations to Carers First will help a carer get support they need to thrive in their role and find the balance in their lives they wish to achieve. It will help them realise they don’t have to do it on their own.

Trinket Box Pre School

Trinket Box is a Pre School committed to safeguarding all children, young people and vulnerable adults. Your donations to Trinket Box will help them to continue serving the local community and will provide children with much needed resources.

Cake Club

Cake Club is a charity that offers parenting support and solidarity in the Southend area; running in-person support sessions and playgroups that create a caring and non judgmental environment for parents to gain support in feeding, carrying, nurturing and responding to their babies. Your donations to Cake Club will help them to continue to run their 9 indoor sessions a week, weekly walk and talks and thriving online community that have supported over 900 parents.

Vibe Southend

Vibe Southend is a creative centre for adults with learning disabilities, enabling them to explore and express their creativity in a safe environment. Your donations to Vibe will help them to deliver multimedia activity sessions to adults with learning disabilities who would like the space to express themselves through music, art, design, IT and gaming with other adults who have similar experiences as them.

Garon Park CIC

Garon Park CIC is a community interest company that aims to connect our community by providing destination quality facilities for all. Focusing on youth, the CIC offer local youth guided pathways through our environment, where they have a voice and influence, feel safe and confident, and are able to learn and flourish surrounded by nature. Your donations to Garon Park CIC will ensure they can continue to support not just youth, but the whole community and their wellbeing.
