Project 49 is a community based resource run by Southend Care Ltd, providing innovative services for adults in the Southend area with learning disabilities.
Located in central Southend, our focus is on putting people first. We provide a wide range of dynamic activities promoting healthy living and wellbeing, making informed choices, and community inclusion.
We have initiated , or participated in a number of exciting projects and partnerships aimed at developing our service users’ independence, confidence, and positive engagement within our town.
Aged 19 and over, a referral is required via CTPLD (Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities).
Cost £60 per day.
Activities include:

- Jump up and Join in – open mic nights at the Alex

- Community garden projects

- Art project work
We have our own film production company “Around the Edge Productions”.
We work closely with Make Southend Sparkle, and are working on regenerating a neglected area of town so all can enjoy it.
