This service is open to anyone who lives or works in any of the Southend wards. the service offers free advice on a journey to a smoke free future. The patient has the option of booking an appointment with either a GP stop smoking advisor ( normally a HCA or practice nurse), a local pharmacy that has signed up to the stop smoking scheme (participating Pharmacies found on our website URL/link section below) and lastly the option of signing up to one of the listed Vape shops ( via the link )
There are many choices of Nicotine Replacement Therapy and other medications such as Champix ( cannot be used if planning a famiky or if you are pregnant ).
The services incorporate many different venues, but during pandemic and social distancing there will be sufficient telephone support through a stop smoking programme.
