Corporate Volunteering Enquiries
Published on: April 25, 2025
We are reaching out to our SAVS member organisations, as we have seen an increase in corporate volunteering enquiries and are wanting to make the most of these kind offers.
We are aware that for some organisations and opportunities, ‘one off’ volunteering may not be suitable, but we are reaching out to our members, to ask if they could make use of the offers we receive for ‘one day’ corporate volunteering.
If you are interested, please do let us know, if you haven’t already, and also days that would be suitable, if applicable. We are aware that for some projects, they can only accommodate corporate volunteer groups on project closure days.
We would also like to introduce Emma Jellett. Emma is our new Community Projects manager.
In her role she will be working to support the development of meaningful relationships between businesses and the VCFSE sector in the city of Southend.
Emma has aspirations to make the best use of these volunteering offers, by tapping into some corporate volunteers’ specialisms. For example, it may be possible this could also include one day’s worth of volunteering. i.e. 6 hours of support from a HR specialist for one hour a week over the course of six weeks.
In doing so, we believe organisations could benefit greatly, and are trying out this approach with any members who would be interested.
Please contact Emma if you would like to discuss in more depth the different ways that your organisation could work with our member charities and volunteers, to generate Social Value and lasting legacies of impact in the area. You can email Emma at ejellett@savs-southend.co.uk
You can also email our Volunteer Hub Coordinator, Kelly Kennedy, if you would like to add your name to the list of members who would be interested in working with corporate volunteer groups, for ‘one off’ volunteering days.
You can email Kelly at kkennedy@savs-southend.co.uk
