A new e-learning healthcare coaching course called ‘An Introduction to Health Coaching Skills (IHCS)’, is now available to health and care professionals across mid and south Essex.

The course, which has been funding through by NHS Mid and South Essex, will help to embed a personalised care approach into the health and care of our residents in mid and south Essex. It is delivered by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) and PCI-accredited e-Learning course from The Health Coaching Academy.

About the course

The course provides a great introduction to the core concepts, models and approaches for health coaching skills and personalised care, as well as people the knowledge and confidence, to have a personalised care conversation with our patients. You will have 24/7 access to the course material with the courses delivered ‘as if in person’ by our expert trainers and is for 12 months from the date you first access the content.

• The course includes:
• 39 manageable bite-size lessons,
• 23 quizzes
• 20 exercises over six modules

Why you should take part

Participants on the course will have the skills and knowledge, so they can support patients and build their confidence and motivation to take ownership and control of their own health.

The course also delivers 12 CPD hours for each participant.

Who can apply

Any health and care professional from the NHS and partner organisations who work with residents, can undertake the e learning course.
