Soroptimist International was formed in 1921 by a group of professional women from the USA in order to further the aims and education of women and girls.
It is now a world-wide organisation which has representation at the United Nations.
Soroptimist International Southend and District has been working in the community since 1953
The biggest change this year is that we are now an online club, who occasionally meet face to face socially and for project work
