Is there one transport scheme in Southend that would make a real difference to your daily life?

Southend Council have been developing the Draft Fourth Local Transport Plan (LTP4) for the city of Southend-on-Sea. The LTP4 will set the strategy and delivery plans for the transport network to 2045. The plan covers all transport within the area of Southend and in many instances across neighbouring authority boundaries, including, private vehicles, lorries, delivery vehicles, cycles, walking, buses, rail, river transport etc. Local transport networks are complex, as they provide links for housing, economic activity, access to education and public service provision.

They would like to invite you to a session to provide you with an opportunity to input into the draft LTP4 before it goes out to formal public consultation. There will also be a further opportunity to share your views during the formal consultation process. The LTP4 includes a suite of documents that cover various modes of travel, so your attendance at these engagement sessions will also provide input into the Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP), the Local Cycling and Walking Plan (LCWIP) and the Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) strategy.

Please have a think about the above question and bring your thoughts to the discussion. This is your chance to shape what transport will look like in Southend.

Both of the in-person sessions will have lunch and drinks provided.

The LTP4 sessions will take place on the following dates and times. Two sessions are in person with lunch provided and there is also a MS Teams session on an evening. Please note you only need to attend one session as the sessions will be covering the same information:

1) In-person at SAVS – 18th August 11am-1.30pm, drinks and lunch provided
