About this Funding:
The National Archives has announced its Community Hub Skills Bursaries scheme, offering grants of up to £1,000 for individuals across the UK who want to build their skills in community heritage work.
Open to applicants at any stage of their career, the bursaries can support a wide range of professional development activities. These could include:
- course or workshop fees (in-person or online)
- travel and accommodation expenses related to training
- mentoring or coaching sessions
- attendance at conferences or sector events
- purchase of learning materials such as books or toolkits
- costs associated with shadowing/placements in galleries, libraries, archives, and museums (GLAM organisations)
The bursaries are intended to support those who may not have had access to professional development opportunities before.
The scheme will be offered on a rolling basis and will be assessed quarterly.
