About this Funding:

The Schroder Charity Trust has announced that grants of up to £5,000 are available to UK registered charities working with vulnerable and disadvantaged people. The Schroder Charity Trust is an independent grant-making family trust which has supported the UK charity sector for more than 70 years.

Funding is available for core costs and project costs for one year. The Trust is currently supporting work that strengthens communities through services and opportunities which improve wellbeing and life outcomes for vulnerable and disadvantaged people.

The Trust’s current funding objectives and priority areas of interest are:

  • Enabling children and young adults from disadvantaged backgrounds to thrive and achieve their potential in education and employment.
  • Strengthening communities through services and opportunities which enhance the wellbeing and life outcomes of vulnerable and disadvantaged people.

Applicants must be registered charities in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, with annual income between £150,000 and £1 million. The Trust will only consider work operating in areas within the top 20% of indices of multiple deprivation.

Applications must be made online after completing an eligibility check. The current application window opened on 1 July 2026 and closes at 5pm on 28 August 2026, with decisions expected within four months.
