In a heart-warming tale of community spirit and creativity, our local neighbourhood has witnessed a transformation that’s been years in the making. Chiquitta had the pleasure of working alongside local Milton Ward Councillors, Milton Community Partnership, local artists and of course the stars of the show, local primary school children.

The backdrop? An area that, until recently had been a neglected eyesore.

The dedicated Councillors, community groups, and local artists had been working tirelessly for years to turn this dream into a reality. The children, bursting with energy and imagination, bought the idea to life through their art and childlike fun, whilst the local artists bought their skills, and the Councillors and community groups bought their dedication to the project.

As the mosaic art was being assembled it highlighted the fun imaginations and playfulness that only children can proclaim. The wall became a kaleidoscope of colours and the pictures bought the wall to life, each a memento to the diversity in our wonderful community.

The opening ceremony took place and you could see the sense of achievement and the excitement as everyone stood back and admired the final piece. Well done to all involved.

In a world that can sometimes be fast paced and detached, this collaborative effort serves as a reminder that the heart of the community beats strongest when fulled by shared ideas, dreams and a splash of colour. Here’s to more art, laughter and community spirit!
