A new partnership between local homelessness charity HARP and technology company Couno is set to bring practical support and fresh energy to tackling homelessness across Essex.
The collaboration will see Couno commit to a programme of fundraising, donating refurbished IT equipment, and supporting HARP’s growing digital inclusion work, helping people access the tools and skills they need to rebuild their lives.
HARP provides accommodation, support and pathways out of homelessness, says the partnership comes at a time when demand for services remains high and digital access is increasingly essential.
Couno’s involvement will include providing old IT equipment for refurbishment and reuse, helping to ensure that people supported by HARP can get online, search for work, stay connected and access vital services.
Kevin Lockhart at Couno said:
“We’re really pleased to be working alongside HARP. As a local business, we feel a responsibility to support our community in practical ways. Whether that’s helping raise funds, donating equipment, or getting behind digital inclusion projects, we want to play our part in creating opportunities for people to move forward.”
The partnership will also see Couno staff taking part in fundraising initiatives throughout the year, helping to raise awareness as well as vital funds for HARP’s frontline services.
Tara Carty, Corporate Partnerships Manager at HARP added: “Partnerships like this make a real difference. Having support that’s not just financial, but also practical and long-term, helps us reach more people and respond to the challenges they face today — especially when it comes to digital access.”
