Update on proposed national SEND reforms

The Government has published the ‘Every child achieving and thriving’ White Paper, setting out proposals for reforms to the schools and SEND Systems in England.

The proposals are part of a national consultation and current support for families remains the same.

The Southend SEND Area Partnership have issued a letter about the proposed reforms and consultation and invite Southend families to an information session to find out more about the potential changes.

Engagement and information session:

Friday 17 April, 9.30am to 10.30am at Southend Civic Centre. Book via Eventbrite.

SSIF are also hosting 1-hour drop-in sessions at the Civic Centre for parent carers to share views and ask questions:
