We are delighted to announce that Round 2 of the 2025–26 Community Investment Fund has now successfully concluded. After a competitive application process, the Community Investment Board has awarded a total of £200,000 in funding to 17 incredible organisations delivering impactful projects across our community.

These projects are aligned with the core priorities of the fund, which include:

• Opportunity for All – Creating pathways for education, employment, and personal growth

• Thriving Communities – Strengthening local networks and support systems

• Wellbeing for All – Promoting physical, emotional, and mental health

• Tackling Inequity and Poverty – Supporting those most affected by hardship and inequality

This round of funding highlights the amazing work being done by local groups to create a more inclusive, resilient, and connected Southend.

Looking ahead, Round 3 of the Community Investment Fund is set to launch in early December 2025. We encourage all community groups, charities, and social enterprises with innovative ideas to make a positive impact to prepare their applications and stay informed.
