SAVS Community Builder Good News Story – Talk at EBRA’s Afternoon Tea and AGM

Published on: May 1, 2026

Great news from East Beach & Shoebury! Eda had a great time giving a talk about Community Builders and spending time with EBRA (East Beach Residents Association) at their Annual Afternoon Tea and General Meeting. She met and had conversations with some of the members who are making a real difference locally. Their pride in the area really shines through—and so does the dedication behind everything they do to support the community.

Members were treated to delicious scones with cream and jam from a local Bakery, heard from 3 different speakers who gave a talk at the AGM.  They also snapped up raffle tickets with some lovely prices- half of the proceeds proudly supporting the local charity THE ARK!

EBRA’s latest project has seen new apple and pear trees planted at East Beach, thanks to Big Sparks Funding.

Membership of EBRA is open to all residents in the ward of Shoeburyness, it’s only £5 per year, per household. Join them, help to protect and enhance the area around beautiful East Beach, and get involved in volunteering in the neighbourhood.
