About this Funding:

Ford Britain Trust currently supports projects that focus on:

  • Education: Empowering learners of all ages.
  • Environment: Protecting and enhancing our natural surroundings.
  • Children & Youth Activities: Creating opportunities for young people.
  • People with Disabilities: Promoting inclusion and support.
  • Local Community Benefit: Initiatives that directly improve life in areas close to our UK locations.

There is particular interest in projects that involve:

  • Work that clearly helps the local community or improves the environment.
  • Activities for young people and children.
  • Mainstream education and schools.
  • Supporting people with special educational needs.
  • Projects that help people with disabilities.

Registered charities, non-fee paying, state schools and Parent Teacher Associations and not-for-profit organisations can apply for either a small grant of up to £250 or a large grant of up to £3,000.

Applications will be considered for projects being undertaken/expenditure being made in all UK postcodes; however, locations near Ford Motor Company Limited / FCE Bank plc UK operations are given a higher weighting:

  • Essex (including East London)
  • Bridgend (South Wales)
  • Southampton
  • Daventry
  • Manchester
  • Liverpool

The funding can be used for the following purposes:

  • Contributions to capital projects (eg, refurbishments).
  • Capital expenditure items (eg furniture/equipment/computers).
  • Contributions towards the purchase of new Ford vehicles (maximum grant £3,000).

The application deadline for small grants is 31 October and for large grants 30 November 2026.

Funding Criteria:

Registered charities, non-fee paying, state schools and Parent Teacher Associations and not-for-profit organisations can apply for either a small grant of up to £250 or a large grant of up to £3,000.
